Judge Lela Mays in the news! We are excited to announce with this news article a program created by Judge Mays. We celebrated 10 years of success of the S.T.A.C. (Successful Treatment of Addiction through Collaboration) Court Program on May 12, 2017.
Individuals in S.T.A.C. are on felony probation and obtain treatment for drug abuse, alcoholism and mental illness. S.T.A.C. is a 12 to 18 month program where individuals progress through phases and are required to obtain employment prior to graduation. S.T.A.C. court has over 2000 graduates, as of July, 2021.
